(More customer reviews)I've only had my bag for 3 days but it has already come in handy on several occasions. Aesthetically, the bag is beautiful on the outside. The inside is nylon which has a kind of cheesy feel to it. The bag is smaller than I thought it would be. I've seen pictures on the web with models wearing the bag and it looks like the Medium could fill up with as much stuff as a Medium sized backpack but this is not the case. I tried stuffing my 5 subject notebook in it because I wanted to take it to school instead of hauling around my backpack. I stuffed it in, but not without twisting and angling it to some extent. The official specs list the depth at 5 inches but this is only at the very bottom of the bag. Near the top the depth is closer to 2 inches.
Thursday I was able to take my bag to the temple and use it to carry some prayer papers, and today, I used it to hold 5 small bottles of water. I don't know how the bag will hold up if I take it on a daytrip to Yosemite. It tends to slide a little bit to the side when you are moving fast so I don't know how comfortable it will be to use whilst hiking. It is true what others have said regarding accessing the bag while on your shoulders, you can't. You have to set the bag down in order to access the contents. I can't wait for summer to start. I will be able to stuff a windbreaker, sunglasses, some water and snacks, and a book into it. This was ultimately what I had in mind when I purchased this item, although I find that for use everyday as a "guys purse" it comes in handy for other things. This bag would make a nice gift for an active man who enjoys the outdoors.
